THE BLOCK: OUR PLACE TO S.T.A.Y. will create a safe, supportive destination for creativity, connection and opportunity
Under the campaign theme “Our Place to S.T.A.Y.,” The Block represents the next chapter of Arts, Absolutely!'s work with young people. Plans for the center combine creative arts and media programming with mentoring, academic and career preparation, emotional well-being, leadership development and connections to community resources.
The need for safe spaces, meaningful engagement and positive supervision for young people received renewed attention following the September 19, 2026 shooting in Little Rock's River Market District. In a statement reported by KATV on September 20, Little Rock Mayor Frank Scott Jr. emphasized the responsibility of parents and guardians to know where their children are and help ensure they are safe and properly supervised.
Help Us Build the Block: Our Place to S.T.A.Y. (Save The Arts & Youth)
To support the development of The Block, Arts, Absolutely! is expanding S.T.A.Y. — Save The Arts & Youth, its official fundraising initiative inviting individuals, businesses, foundations and community partners to invest in opportunities for young people. The first upcoming opportunity to support the effort will be an Arts, Absolutely! fundraiser at Chipotle (12524 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, AR) on October 12, 2026 from 4:00pm – 8:00pm, followed by additional community engagement and fundraising activities leading into Giving Tuesday.
